In the chaos, noise pollution, toxins and trauma of the modern world, we have lost the ability to hear what our bodies are trying to tell us. Sound offers us the vehicle to restore that ability. Through the arts of sound and listening, we can again learn to hear those messages and use them to expand our capacity to stretch into our authentic beings, to remove our blocks and to step into the lives of our dreams. Sound facilitates shifts in our brainwave state, breath rate, and heartbeat through entrainment. Entrainment synchronizes our fluctuating body rhythms by providing a stable frequency it can attune to. By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to down-shift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur).
